Rosie was born and raised on Vancouver Island, spending most of her time in Victoria and the Comox Valley. She graduated with distinction from Vancouver Island University with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and English and went on to successfully complete her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2010.
She takes a dynamic approach to rehabilitation by incorporating a combination of treatments all while empowering her patients by educating them on their specific condition including methods and tools to assist in achieving the best possible outcome.
Her scope of practice is broad and her extensive knowledge base has been gained by completing a variety of courses including Soft Tissue Release and Functional Strength and Conditioning, as well as many post-graduate courses including:
Certification in Anatomical Acupuncture by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (now Acupuncture Canada)
Certification in Gunn IMS from the University of British Columbia.
The Orthopaedic Division's Level 1 and Level 2 (upper and lower) Certification from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association in Manual Therapy training.
Vestibular Certifications including:
- The highly renowned Susan Herdman's Competency-Based and Advanced Vestibular courses in Melbourne, Australia.
- Vestibular Rehabilitation and Concussion as well as the Advanced Rehabilitation II at the American Institute of Balance in Florida, USA(This extensive training has qualified Rosie to assess and treat dizziness, vertigo and balance disorders efficiently and effectively.)
Physiotherapy is an ever-changing and ever-evolving healthcare field, and Rosie strongly believes in maintaining continuing competency in her skills: In order to do this, has recently re-attended both Part 1 and 2 of the Gunn IMS course (in 2023 and 2024) to expand her knowledge and maintain safe practice techniques and protocols. She also attended the 2024 World Congress for Shockwave Therapy held by The International Society of Medical Shockwave Treatment (ISMST) in Amsterdam as well as successfully completing their certification course.
Rosie has expanded her practice to include pelvic health (AFAB) and has completed the courses to assess and treat pelvic floor conditions including but not limited to incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, bowel dysfunction, and pelvic pain with the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Academy of Pelvic Health and is actively working toward completing their Certificate of Advanced Practice in Physical Therapy in Pelvic Health (“CAPP-PH).

Additional pelvic health courses include: Herman & Wallace’s Sexual Medicine in Pelvic Rehab, Marcy Dayan's Evidence-Based Approach to Treating Dyspareunia and Vulvar Vestibulodynia (pelvic pain), Oncology and the Pelvic Floor through Pelvic Health Solutions, as well as Physical Therapy in Gender-Affirming Care: Transgender Health through the APTA’s Academy of Pelvic Health.
In Rosie’s spare time she often ventures up island to her hometown of Courtenay to spend time with friends and family. While there she enjoys landscaping, gardening, and getting out into nature hiking and paddle-boarding.
